Sound:

well the stand by itself doesn't make a sound unless you drop it or hit it with something. The sound of the djembe in the stand however is great! Holding the drum between your legs allows the bass to escape but your also choking off the shell with your hippie pants. Having the drum on the stand keeps the drum off the floor and also has minimal contact with the drum shell allowing resonant bass. it also seems to hold the djembe in just the right place somehow.

Feature:

Not much to it, plain and simple. The only crappy thing is that it's not tall enough to play while standing unless you're crazy short.

Ease of Use:

pretty simple. I would imagine it even fits in a djembe bag if you stick it in upside down.

Quality:

good

Manufacturer Support:

it doesn't make the drum unmovable but it does hold it straight

Value:

it's kind of expensive for what it is. if you have a welder, you can make one for the cost of the metal. I think $15 or $20 would be a more reasonable cost.

The Wow Factor:

this isn't something you would circle in the christmas catalog to show our parents but it's useful which makes it desirable

Overall:

I just bought one and I'm waiting for it to arrive. The only thing that would make me look for something better is if I HAD to stand while playing. Considering how expensive and bulky the other options are, this is a CLEAR choise.

Easy to use - a no brainer really...

Sturdy, seems like I'll have it a long time.

Value:

Pretty good value for the amount of use it will get.

Overall:

A simple thing that makes playing the djembe so much easier with a much better sound. I should have bought it sooner!
