"very very good value, amazing support"
Sound:This is a nuts sounding mic, and I own a good amount of mics. The clarity and presence of this piece, makes it the second "go to" mic in my collection for stereo recording. The first one are my AKG c-1000's in stereo. However, for nylon string, the nt4 is perfect, because it tames the lows in the booth. I only record acoustic guitar in my studio, so there is my reference.
Support:
The support was too good to imagine. The set screw had somehow come out for the mic connection, and the mic cord was trying to pull out the wires when detaching it. I take care of this, and all my mice, but things happen. I sent it back to them, the next day they called me, fixed it, and sent it. It was a 4 day turnaround. No one ever has that support anymore

"Wonderful sound & oozes sex appeal"
Feature:Quality of cables & windshield not quite as good as the mike itself. Mike could also do with a hi-pass filter.
Quality:
Beautifully made, though the switch and battery clip are surprisingly plasticky.
Value:
Excellent value.
Desirability:
As microphones go, it oozes sex appeal. The sort of machine you want to pick up and just look at for ages. Wonderful.
Sound:
Smooth, neutral, almost bland sound. This mike tells it like it is - no presence boost at vocal frequencies, which is great.
Support:
I mailed them asking if they did a suitable shockmount, but heard nothing back.
Overall:
Reckon this'll be my main mike until i'm fed up with XY stereo.

"Fabulous live recording mike!"
Feature:It came with its own cables and a windscreen. I would like a better windscreen included.
Quality:
Quite heavy, seems very robust. Of course with one day's use I have no idea of the durability or reliability.
Value:
I paid $379 locally for this mike.
Desirability:
Practical addition. While I like the feel and looks, I would have been just as happy if it were olive drab with pink polka dots (well, almost!) If I had had a choice between, say, bright chrome, the brushed metallic suface it came with, or matte black...I would probably have bought the brushed metallic because the on/off button is easier to find than on matte black. Matte black, I would have had to put white paint on the on-off button to see it, which is grody.
Sound:
I am comparing results to the AT822 which I have used previously. I bought the NT4 because I was unhappy with the recording results of the AT822. This mike is an entire ballpark better! Just recording in my living room, with difficult instruments to record...french horn and tuba, I got near-CD sound quality. I am delighted, and would recommend this mike to anyone. I was using phantom power from a BlueTube preamp, and going directly into a Tascam CD writer.
Support:
No dealings to date.
Overall:
I'll use it as long as it lasts, probably, or until something of drastically higher quality becomes available for the same price.
