"Some defects but hopefully Roland will come through..."
Sound:
Great sound for such a light keyboard. It's become my main keyboard for gigging now.
Feature:
Has lots of features that I haven't even begun to explore yet. LOVE the music stand for my notes, etc. and LOVE the built-in speakers! That eliminates the need to bring those two things with me when I want to just use the keyboard to practice! And hey, let's face it...as a keyboard player you have to haul enough junk with you as it is! This almost makes it as portable as a guitar (for practice anyway)! But on gigs, you still bring one less thing and having the on-board speakers gives you a pretty decent monitor for a duo or trio gig. It won't work for your full band gigs as a monitor though. Also LOVE the indentations on the sides of the keyboard to help you carry it. Great feature!
Quality:
I'm on the fence about the quality because I've gotten a defective one from the store. Some of the high keys are not working correctly. Some don't play at all and others react like you are striking them very hard when you hit them lightly. I received another new one from the store and this one was the same way but even a little worse. The store will be ordering the next one right from ROLAND. We'll see what happens. But a friend of mine ordered this keyboard and had the same problem with his first one. The next one he received was fine. Hopefully Roland comes through with a working one because this is a great piano.
Manufacturer Support:
Haven't dealt with them yet but if I get another defective keyboard, I'm going to call them!
Value:
Good price for a light, good sounding, easy to use keyboard.
Overall:
I would get one of these again unless they made the same type of piano lighter in a new model. The lighter the better for me since I have a bad back!
