Roland KC60 Keyboard Amplifier (1x10 in., 40 Watts) Customer Review

    Feature:
This Product comes with more features then the average keyboard amp. It comes with 3 channels, 1 of them can be used with a microphone. It comes with a Aux in, which can be used to connect the amp to a CD player, and a line out, which can be used to connect the amp to a mixer or similar. It even comes with a sub woofer output, so you can connect your KC-60 to a sub woofer to make the bass even stronger. This amp comes with plenty of features.

    Quality:
I have never had to worry about this product. It seems well built and it has handled the last 6 months with me in my band. I would definitely use this product on the road. It is quite small, weighs only 12.5 Kilos, but It can produce amazing sounds. I wouldn't worry about a back up. If you follow all the instructions in the manual then you won't ever need a backup

    Value:
I payed $600 for this quality amp, and I am very happy with it. It is exactly what I expected, I powerful loud high quality reliable keyboard amp.

    Desirability:
This product has a very professional and impressive look. The "sex appeal" of the product is I recon as good as it can get for an amp in it's price range.

    Sound:
The quality of the sound is for me, amazing. It responds to my playing clearly and instantly. It definitely achieved the sound I was looking for. I use this product live in a band with drums, rhythm guitar, bass and a vocalist, this small amp does an amazing job in live performances.

    Support:
    never had to use support

    Overall:
I have no problems with this product. I think this product will be able to satisfy me even after I leave school, but I may want to get another KC-60 to create a stereo setup. I chose this product because I needed a small inexpensive keyboard amp so I could be heard over my band, and for that criteria the KC-60 definitely exceeds

    "Roland KC60 Review - 7 December 2005"

    Feature:
Well featured & RCA in for CD input is a bonus.

    Quality:
Fairly robust & well made. I do not see this as an issue. The unit's bass driver seem to be made to a cost. This is probably one of the main let downs of the KC60. Treble: Average+ Midrange: Acceptable but can sound harsh as the volume is turned up Bass: Average. Bass extension OK but definitely not outstanding

    Value:
Fair/good value for money. It is one of the cheapest keyboard amps around but sound performance can be improved.

    Desirability:
It is a fairly versatile & protable unit so that is where it appeals most. It is decent looking & well made.

    Sound:
Better than average sound quality at low volumes. Distortion evident on higher vols & not a pleasant listen.

    Support:
Don't know. Have not had to call up support

    Overall:
This is just a handy unit to have around. If you are after better sound quality, you should consider getting something more powerful & more expensive.

"Good for practice bad for performance"

    Feature:
i like the 3 channels and the mic input is very cool. The subwoofer is nice and i think the controls r good.

    Quality:
i dont fear anything will break but i wouldnt take it on the road just because of the sound quality on higher volumes. this needs to be fixed

    Value:
with this amp it should be put down to $200 just because of some of the sound quality on higher volumes. FIX THIS PLEASE

    Desirability:
ummm.... id honestly be willing to use another one

    Sound:
it has good sound quality on low practice volume but on higher volume it sort of cracks. If its gonna be 40 watts then make it good sound quality for the whole 40 watts. It also tends to be kind of staticy. this needs to be fixed

    Support:
    good

    Overall:
i like the mic input, 3 channels, subwoofer and sound quality on lower volumes most aboput it and sound quality on higher volumes the least

    "Solid practice amp"

    Feature:
Mic input is very handy as is the three inputs, but I don't think this amp could handle three keyboards.

    Quality:
This is a very solid construction and design EXCEPT one minor point...the power cord wrapper...made of plastic and broke first time using it. This became a pain when transporting the amp.

    Value:
I paid $240 CDN for it; in hindsight seems a bit expessive for what is in reality a practice amp. $170 - $200 seems like the right price.

    Desirability:
This is very practical piece of equipment.

    Sound:
I purchased this amp for use with a Roland Piano, and for the smaller rooms and practice it's just fine; solid, reliable and can be used as a monitor in a pinch. I added a Yamaha synth and never had any complaines soundwise. However, for performing with my band in anything other than the smallest rooms, this amp just doesn't cut it for my piano. A. it's not loud enough, and B. when you try to turn it up it distorts the piano sound, especially the lower keys. This has caused me to go out and purchase a bigger model of amp that has some volume so I can play at the right volume and get a nice tone from my keyboards.

    Ease of Use:
Vert easy to use right out of the box

    Support:
    never had to use support

Roland KC60 Keyboard Amplifier (1x10 in., 40 Watts) Customer Review

    Quality:
as for what it's built for, the quality is great... it would stand up through anything.

    Value:
WAY WAY too pricy for the benefit... pay more for a better value!

    Sound:
Cracks awful. If you're playing very softly, it will work; but anything with volume to it will splat and crack. I purchased this for practice only, but it's not a good enough quality for practice.
