"v-drums are a great tool for working on your drumming skills wether in the studio or on the road. it will never be the same as"
Feature:
i bougt the15" v-ride and 14" v-crash cymbal, it makes the virtual drum experience real. the cymbals.......i recommend.
Quality:
the lit is well built. the drum rack is weak and the componenttry is cheap. i bought the gibraltar drum rack and the kit is so cool.
Value:
the base price is high and to achieve better cymbals, you will have to add sounds via midi to the kit.
Desirability:
sex appea?......its a friggen drum kit.
maybe roland can come up with a way so i can date my v-kit. the kit wouldnt argue with me!
Sound:
i have the td-8 and the cymbals sounds are not that good, the cymbals patch(s) sound too... (drum machine) sounding.
Support:
never had to call roland, there are several forums on the net to join and get you questions answered.
Overall:
This is a great drum kit, the only problem is that if you live in an apartment (other than the 1st floor) chance are you will get complaints from you neighbor below you be cause the bass pedal is kickng right above them. a quick solution is to place 2inch of larger foam ( i have a 2 in thick foam and is measures 6" x 6" and place it directly under the legs of the v-bass' legs and go to a local taget or walmart and my the rubber floor-mat in the excercise deparment, they are bigger than what you would think. double up the mats if ya need more padding. roland v-stage drum really kick ass
