"The very best bass strings made, period!"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Sound:
Unsurpassed for any genre of music! Be aware that they have a rougher texture than you're probably used to so give yourself time to build up your calluses then you'll know what I'm saying.
Feature:
Rough texture takes a little time
To get used to but it's definitely worth the little pain involved.
Ease of Use:
If you're a pick player you'll probably want to turn your treble down as these produce a very bright sound when asked. Thunderous lows and smooth mods that cut right through the mix. A few basic tone adjustments and you'll have it right where you like it
Quality:
I've only had two E strings break in thirty years. Each time the strings were well over six months old and I was gigging every weekend in a metal band. They can definitely take a beating!
Manufacturer Support:
Never had a problem that required customer support
Value:
Worth every penny! My local music store wants $50 for a set of four and they get it from those that don't order online.
The Wow Factor:
Beautiful crimson threads on the headstock end makes a nice addition to most any bass's look
Overall:
I've played bass for years and tried every string out there. There's something about the sound and feel of rotosound strings that can't be touched. The combination of great "piano-like" ring and the feel of these strings allows a finger player to have total control of your sound without any effects at all. I always get great compliments on my tone regardless of which amp or bass I'm using using. The one constant? Swingbass 66 Rotosound strings! Believe it!
