"Supports low impedance headphones better than the Behringer HA4600, and surprisingly has only a cosmetic resemblence. It's a bet"
Feature:I particularly appreciate the mixture controls for the Main/insert and the aux for the individual channels. The main/insert works differently from the Behringer product in that the Samson allows blending of main/insert whereas the Behringer is an override either/or selector.
Quality:
Seems to be well built.
Value:
This headphone amp is different from the apparently similar Behringer HA4600 that I returned. Although the Behringer prouduct is $100, it only supports headphones down to 100 ohms! The Samson S-phone has significantly more current capacity and can support down to 8 ohms. Oddly, the new batch of headphone from Behringer are 64-ohm products. This load capacity probably accounts for the price difference.
Desirability:
With its total of 12 outputs, it has more outputs per rack space than anything else I've seen.
Sound:
The output on each of the 12 connectors is clean and solid. Hum-free and noiseless.
Support:
Don't know...didn't ask for support on this product.
