"Ignore the 'no tone' reviews...good product."

Sound:
I've owned a rack-mount Samson for 16 years and just needed something so I wouldn't have to run cables from the rack to my pedals and then back to the board. This seemed like the perfect product but after reading some of the reviews I hesitated. BUT, knowing that with Same Day I could send it back AND knowing that I had no problems whatsoever with my rack-mount I decided to go for it. I really doubted that 16 years later Samson got worse at what they did. I extensively sat down and went back and forth from this product and rack-mount and saw NO issues with it at all. Granted I've only used it for a couple gigs, but I wanted to get a review up before someone else got turned off. It didn't change my tone at all, but if you have no tone to begin with then....
Feature:
My only complaint so far is that I have to buy an AC adapter for the 'pedal' part of the unit. I'm currently using a 9-volt in that AND the AAA in the receiver, and the AAA only lasted two shows. I can see that I'll be going through more AAA's already and add the 9-volt on top of that and it'll add up over time. My rack-mount Samson came with a plug and the 9-volt in the battery pack would last at least a handful of shows.
Ease of Use:
You plug it in and turn it on. It took about 2 minutes to figure out that the one knob should be turned all the way to the right.
Quality:
So far so good, but being a 'pedal' I'm worried about the long-term durability especially after seeing how beat up my other pedals are though I do realize I won't be stepping on this one.
Manufacturer Support:

Value:
It;s about $75 over where it's real price point should be. It was worth it to me because I was sick of running wires back and forth.
The Wow Factor:
It's small, compact and it works. PLUS, it's nice not having that extra battery pack hanging off my belt.
