"A tough act to beat, even at twice the price."

Sound:
The single coil positions are not as jangly as the Strat's, but then again, these are humbuckers, which will never sound like single coils no matter what you do. Otherwise, the tones I can get from this guitar are excellent! It will work nicely in the diverse styles I play in.
Feature:
The components, materials and workmanship are A+. The only minor gripe I have is that I'd rather have had one master volume and two tone controls, instead of two volume and one tone control. But, that's a personal preference, and doesn't detract from the quality or playability of this guitar in any way. I'll get used to it.
Quality:
Workmanship looks impeccable! Hard to believe this guitar was not hand-made! If there wasn't a sticker on the neck saying "Made in Korea", I would never have believed it! The finish, fit, and electronics rival any of the PRS or Gibson solidbodys that I've looked at - and the beauty is that it costs thousands less!
Manufacturer Support:
I haven't had to contact Schecter for support, so I really can't comment on it. I will say, though, that I'm more than disappointed in their website. They opted for cutsie-flashy instead of informative, and that just doesn't cut it. They should have sections online for setup, maintenance, specs, tips, etc., like other guitar companies do. Instead they have pictures of Tommy Lee... whooppee! What's he going to do for my knowledge of and support of the instrument?!
Value:
I shouldn't say this because I don't want to give Schecter any bright ideas, but this guitar could easily sell for much more than the $700 I paid for it. The only reason I might balk at paying $1200-$1400 for it is that it's made in Korea. But, if it were made in the U.S., I'd expect it to sell for even more than double what it costs now. But, I think it'd be worth it!
The Wow Factor:
It's a gorgeous instrument, visually, sonically and physically. I'm not going to get into the arguments about whether the top is photo or real (it looks real to me), or whether the vine inlay is pearloid or mother of pearl, because that stuff is irrelevant. The design, the looks, the sound and the workmanship of this guitar are Class-A. It's stunning whether it's sitting on a stand in my studio or being played under the stagelights! Gorgeous guitar, is all I can say!
Overall:
It's a great addition to my guitar collection - why would I every get rid of it?!?! Besides, considering that Schecter stopped making the C-1 in the Antique Natural finish, I'm don't expect that I'm ever going to get rid of it.
