The sound is phenomenal! I have been using only an EMG 81, 60 since I started playing about 4 years ago and honestly I don't know if will want to go back to emgs! The invaders have so much clarity and gain it's ridiculous. They also have a lot more versatility being coil tappable and being passives they give a more natural "open" sound and are not super compressed sounding like emgs. Keep in mind that emgs are still better suited for chuggy brootalz, but if you want anything else these pickups are perfect!
It's got an ebony 24 extra jumbo fretboard. The pickups coil tap so you can get pristine cleans. It also has a set neck, original Floyd rose and mother of pearl inlays.
Ease of Use:
You can get great sounds instantly for any style....its not a one trick pony like emgs. You can really get a wide range of tones. You can roll off the volume to give it some classic tones or coil tapped for nice cleans. Keep in mind that it can do all styles, but is still really geared toward metal and hard rock
I would say this guitar was made very well, everything is very sturdy and made well. The jack was a little loose, but after tightening no big deal.
As for the finish, I have a little more mixed feelings....it looks awesome (shiny gloss black) however it scratches and shows scratches insanely easily. I think it kinda adds more character and I thinks its more due to the finished used than a lack of quality if that makes sense
Haven't dealt with them. They do carry a lifetime warranry however.
Absolutely!!! I played played on probably a hundred guitars and own 5. This guitar is hands down without a question my favorite guitars
The Wow Factor:
I love everything about this guitar; the ebony fretboard, the invader pickups, the Floyd, set neck, and the gloss black finish. This guitar is stunning to look at!
I should mention too that this guitar is really, really heavy. It has a massive mahogany body. It gives it tremendous sustain, but a bit of weight as well.
I wasn't really sure where to put this, but for those wondering about the neck thickness, think ltd with just a little bit more.
