"It's good, but not exactly what I thought it would be."

It's packaged well and has a nice professional look to it.

    Overall:
I plan to keep this DVD because there are some things I learned regarding room acoustics, but besides that, it wasn't exactly what I expected. I've been studying books, articles, and videos on audio engineering and music production for about three years now and I thought this DVD was going to open my eyes to the unspoken tricks of the trade and the hidden secrets of music production. But it basically reiterated what I've already learned regarding the concepts. My other disappointment is that it is geared towards Pro Tools users. Although the concepts are similar, I had a hard time relating to all the examples that were given using Pro Tools because the processes and graphical user interface (GUI) are quite different from Cakekwalk-based DAWs. Don't get me wrong, these guys know what they're talking about and it was enjoyable to watch, but since I was so eager to learn something profoundly new, it made it kind of disappointing when that didn't turn out to be the case for me. I recommend this product for Pro Tools customers and beginning audio engineers. For those of you like me that have been burying your nose in music production material for a while, you may find yourself just agreeing with these guys through most of the video.
