Feature:If you have coil-splitting ability as I do, both p/us respond beautifully and very Strat-like to splitting. It would take a wee compression to deliver Tele sounds, but fairly nice "spank" can be achieved with a bit of tone vaiation.
Sound:
I own 17 guitars, and recently purchased an extremely well-made Schecter semi-hollowbody with "Seymour Duncan-designed" HBs. Played great, but the pick-ups couldn't stand up to my other "girls." I replaced them, HB-103, with this set. I cannot recall a purchase which has thrilled me so since my UK-made Vox AC-30/TB 63 RI arrived back in '94. The Jazz is crystal-clear with power to spare. I was blown away - almost literally. The JB in the bridge was no huge surprise b/c I had tremendous expectations. Sweet power with extraordinarily balanced tone. I haven't touched the tone knob for the JB, whereas I have backed off the treble a tad a few times with the Jazz for fear of decapitaiton. Fear not not that the Jazz in a soft "puff" without bite. It will supply anything you need from heavy rock to soft jazz with a simple roll of the tone control. Both are awesome, clear and powerful!

Overall:
Obviously one has to take into account the woods, structure (solid-, semi-, or hollowbody) and tastes before the buy; but, play a guitar with these as stock products (Schecter C-1 Classic - '59/JB, et.al.) and you will be blown away.
