Style of Music: Jazz, classic rock, psychedelic.

Experience: 45 years with nice guitars.

    "True PAF sonics."

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
Like the first PAFs, this pickup has a simply gorgeous sound: clear, rich, balanced. I've been using it at the neck of my nice old Sheraton for an absolutely clean jazz sound in lead or rhythm, but it produces incredible harmonics for sustain in more 'dirty' blues or classic rock.
    Feature:
If you put in such a fine pickup with such good lead wires, you should either have, or splurge the few extra bucks for good pots and wiring to bring out all its sound.
    Ease of Use:
Like all humbuckers, you can tweak its screws easily for whatever string balance you want.
    Quality:
    Beautiful work, very carefully made.
    Manufacturer Support:
Seymour Duncan has a reputation for good service, and they have a great site for more info about their products. I've never had a problem, so I've never called them.
    Value:
At least as good as Gibsons, and priced better.
    The Wow Factor:
Nice gold finish, which is holding up well after 2 years, but gold finishes always decay progressively over time.
    Overall:
    It's a keeper.

Experience: Guitar, in a band, not professional

"The end of my neck pup search!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
CLARITY!! Clear and articulate. Bass level is perfect and well balanced. Plenty of treble. I've even had to turn the knob back when using OD! Fantastic! I play classic rock, country, pop and jam band stuff. To my ears I get that Duane Allman tone! I don't think this would work for high gain metal but rocks for everything else!
    Feature:
    The whole thing is useful.
    Ease of Use:
    Very easy!
    Quality:
Very high quality stuff from Seymour Duncan!
    Manufacturer Support:
Never had to call them. Although I did send them an email thanking them for making such an incredible pickup! They didn't respond but I wasn't expecting them too.
    Value:
Yes this pickup is worth the price.
    The Wow Factor:
Huge wow factor! After I installed it and played it through my amp, I damn near cried because that was the sound I was hearing in my head.
    Overall:
Bought this to put in my 2012 LP Traditional. It replaced the stock 57 classic, Seymour Duncan Antiquity, WCR Crossroads, Burstbucker 1 and Electric City Low Wind RD59. I really wish I hadn't waited so long to try out the Seth Lover because I thought, "How can a mass produced pickup be any good compared to these high priced boutique winders?" Well guess what? It smokes them all! It measures 7.2k.
