"Sennheiser HD-280s Don't Measure Up for Club DJ Environments"
Feature:The main feature I look for is a headphone's ability to reproduce crisp, accurate sound at somewhat high volumes. These were unable to do that.
Quality:
The highlight of these headphones was their construction and comfort. The padding was comfortable and the attachment points seemed to be somewhat sturdier than some other models.
Value:
If they don't work properly, then they aren't worth a dime.
Desirability:
Who wants something that doesn't work?
Sound:
These headphones crackled and deep bass lines were horribly distorted (even though the sound could be accurately reproduced through other headphones).
Support:
I returned them. They were unacceptable for a professional DJ environment.
Overall:
I used these headphones for two weeks then returned them.

"An awesome headphone for recording."
Feature:Just like any other Sennheiser headphone. Very TIGHT!
Quality:
It works perfect so far. It's made in Ireland.
Value:
It only costs you 99 dollars or less. The headphone is good for studio recording. However, if you are looking for studio mixing or "true" monitor headphone, I will recommend you guys get an AKG K240S/M/DF, or maybe a Sennheiser HD250II
Desirability:
I definitely suggest vocal and instrument player use HD280 when doing recording job.
Sound:
HD280Pro sounds much better compared to Sony 7506. The middle and low frequency is clearer than 7506 and AKG K240s. The outstanding low frequency has more detail and it sounds very solid and accurate compare to other headphone less than USD150 headphones. In this part, AKG K240 series can't compare. However in high frequency, especially 6K and higher, K240s is the best choice. The middle frequency doesn't sound as natural as AKG K240DF and 240M. But the sad thing about closed headphone is the narrow roomsize that you feel when listening to music.
Support:
It comes out with 2 years warranty.
Overall:
I only rate it 8 points due to the lack of solid high frequency. But low and middle frequency sounds good.

"Great Value, super sound."
Feature:The folding is great, makes it easy for 1 ear listening, with out puting them on. The coiled cord keeps it from getting tangled, or jerked, or hanging low and getting run over by rolling chairs. And last and to many, most important, the isolation, WOW. I've jumed out of my chair many times when poeple tap me on the sholder after "sneaking" up behind me... (well they were actuly YELLING my name!!!)
Quality:
Made in Ireland, and made like a tank!!! These things are tough. And made to last... They have CLOTH over the elements NOT foam, like My bro's 590s wich are prone to capture hare and create a buzzing noize. (need to be taken apart and cleaned)
Value:
you can get them for 82, WOW. Way better then ohers, like Koss Titaniums and Sony's... They are the vest value in closed cup cans.
Desirability:
I recomend them all the time, and love my pair.. Though they aren't ultra flashy like some Sony's and such. (you can, however, get the Silver version for $Ten more.. they are a bit flashy. ;-)
Sound:
Sounds GOOD and Acurate, which is rare. The bass is deep and punchy, and can get strong if well powered. (Though they sound pretty good plugged into a soundcard or portabel CD player.) Very Crisp and Clear, and the BEST for mixing or editing a recording.. Or just trying to figure out, hard to hear, lyrics. Thouh as with wine and cheez, they get better with age. Keep Them Playing at a high level (with in reason) All the time for the first week or so. (you can fold them so the music cna't be heard)
Support:
Sennheiser is great, my bro traded his cans twice (cause he didn't know about the hair issue ^), and the third time they gave him his current 590s as an upgrade from the 560s(?) he had which is a BIG upgrade.. They Rock. For 2 years+
Overall:
If you are doing anything involving recording producing editin or listening in loud places you NEED these phones!

"Great sound, but not very comfortable for long periods of use. The coiled cable is a looser."
Sound:Great sound. I compared them to Audio Technica ATHM40fs. The sound was superior to the Audio Technica's. The biggest draw back was the cable. Why they used a coiled cable is beyond my me. These are designed for studio work. Coils do nothing but get tangled and pull on equipment. If you can live with the birdsnest of cables, then these are a great set of cans. I would have kept them if it hadn't been for the cable.
