"Good Mic. Great detail."

Feature:
Features are as good as they can be for a mic.

Quality:
Great qualtiy. Its a Shure!

Value:
Great value for what you get.

Desirability:
What drew me to this mic was the balance between performance and value, and the fact that just about every popular act uses a Shure. They just sound great.

Sound:
The product description is right on, except for the "warmth". I find this mic to be a bit too accurate, and with a bit too much simblance. I only use this mic during intimate gigs, or live recording. Definately would not recommend this mic to someone who like to mic him/ her self close, or with a loud, powerful voice.

Support:
Phone, online, and mail support. They have the support thing covered in every aspect.

Overall:
I will keep this product and be happy with it for as long as it works.

"SIMPLY THE BEST MICROPHONE EVER!!! (well that I have ever used)"

Feature:
Great zipper bag and mic clip. What can I say? it is a great mic!

Quality:
Excellent, sturdt and the sound quality is the best... If I record with it... yo know it is great.

Value:
I got a great deal.... but i would have paid twice the amount I paid.

Desirability:
This microphone looks great. Fromn the off silver color to the cool "beta" blue stripe... thsi mic looks as good as it sounds.

Sound:
Absolutely the best microphone I have ever used!!! Claear crisp sound, handles lots of volume.... I ONLY use this Microphone when I am doing a concert or a show. I have the wired version and the wireless version.

Overall:
I had gone through many, many mics. (from Sennhesier to Audio Technica, EV and even other SHUREs) They were good, but I knew the sound I wanted to hear. I spent thousands on wired mics trying to get the right sound. When I finally bought the 87A I found my mic. Now I own a wireless system so that I am prepared for any situation, and don't have to settle for less!!!!!

"Great product, for those that desire the best"

Feature:
Came with everything you would want a new mic to come with except the cable.... oh well

Value:
Could be slightly lower for us part-time musicians and those on a budget

Desirability:
Everyone knows what a shure looks like vs. any other mic on the market.. the blue ring gives away that its a beta... so others will be drueling

Sound:
I love the 87, its by far the most clear mic i have ever used and i've been through quite a few. Clean clear sound, great gain before feedback, may not be the best choice for someone that makes mistakes or for backup singers, its so clear it will make your mistakes very noticable. Best performance is probably between 1 to 30 inches away, but i sing right up on it and it doesn't seem to lack anything at all because of it.

Support:
Shure is very good about fixing thier mistakes from what i hear... but i have yet to have a problem with any of their products

Overall:
I have friends that have had beta 87s for 5 year they have been dropped and who knows what else, and every one of them is still working like new and doens't look bad for the wear either
