"Dead sexy, very efficient."
Feature:Solid, but could be better. I have a Mackie DFX-12 mixer on the pop-up board, which is very solid. When the board is lowered for storage, however, the shelf rests on my cables running to the rack spaces below. I am looking into adding some kind of stop-rest to keep the abuse at bay. Also, the back door is "solid" - need to consider cutting a hole through it so I can run the cables out but still leave the back secure. SKB could have found some way to put a small access door in the large access panel.
Quality:
Very good - minor clean-up of a few sharp edges internally, but that took 10 minutes.
Value:
Worth what we paid, for sure.
Desirability:
This thing could make a fool look good. Spend a little time with some tie-wraps and/or some mesh wrap, and it looks awesome.
Overall:
If I had to do it over again, I would. I need more rack space, and am considering the roto roller to add 6 more. I had considered replacing this with the big gig rig instead, but splitting up the weight is a good thing. I'm not small, but close to 200 lbs in an unwieldy box just won't do.
