Sound:

Outstanding fidelity on the samples in this huge percussion sampler. Control over EVERYTHING you can imagine as well as the Time and Chaos Designers allow anyone to make original, professional-sounding grooves instantly.

Feature:

The X-Panded version includes several expansion libraries with different sounds and grooves. Great content; I use all of them.

Ease of Use:

Very easy to get great sounds, but there is a learning curve in using the nuance features of this software. PRO TIP: Watch the tutorial videos and read the manual!!

Quality:

Efficient memory and processor usage. Quality of the samples, sounds, grooves, and features are outstanding. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better groove/percussion/sampler. Even Kontakt can't do what this does, even though it's the industry standard sampler. One warning though - the standard acoustic drum sounds are not multi-sampled at different velocities with different samples. Most of them only have one level sample - for some, that's ok. Just be aware the depth of detail on those is not like you'll find in Superior Drummer or other acoustic drum samplers, Kontakt included.

Value:

A bit pricey, but if you're a pro, it's a no-brainer. Most pro composers I know use this and Spectrasonics is used on many big-name feature films.

The Wow Factor:

You better use this if you want to have some great grooves in your songs or cues with great sounds out of the box. Very little effort to get great stuff from this sampler.

Overall:

I'll be using this on nearly every track I make from now on in one form or another.
