"LOVE AT FIRST SOUND !!!"
Feature:
I love the Bass Intensifier feature. It gives a bass boost with out chnaging the overall sound & volume. The kick-back feature is great as well, plus the wedge EQ compensates the sound nicely. The mid range level is a nice feature as well.
Quality:
Good quality as far as I can tell,I don't think the cabinet is plywood because of the weight of the amp is only 65lbs.I had a slight problem with one of the side handles rattling at certain frequences when playing at gig volume but I put some additional padding under it to slove the problem.Everything else appears to be good quality.
Value:
I think this is one of the best amps for the money.Plenty of power for the gigs I play.I played an Ashdown 15 combo at the store that was kind of weak sounding in my opinion & this SWR blows it away
Desirability:
I've wanted one of these for a long time.Good things come to those who wait. For those who want the SWR sound but can't afford their top of the line stuff this is your amp.
Sound:
I've been playing bass for 30yrs & this is the cleanest sounding amp I've ever owned. The wide array of sounds this has is amazing.I play 4,5 & 6 string bass, this amp handles them all & gives each guitar it's own voice. The lows, mids & highs are all there & can be heard over the rest of the band. You can feel your sound with this baby.
Ease of Use:
The manual is very helpful & I suggest reading it to get the most out of this amp.SWR has some terms & features that they use exclusively so take some time to learn them.I was able to find the sound I liked within a few minutes after I understood what all the controls were for.
Support:
Haven't had to use it.
Overall:
As long as this amp keeps sounding great & is dependable I can't see me buying anything else.
