"Good Price, Good Sound, Good Value"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Sound:
I would say 8/10. The tone is flat for just playing without amplification, but it really shines when plugged in. The pre-amp does a good job but seems to go through the 9 volts faster than I expected, this could be do to the fact that, at least on my model there is no way to easily turn off the pre-amp except to pop it out of the guitar--and then I am still not sure if it is using juice.
Feature:
The fact of a classical guitar with a neck rod is a plus to me. I haven't adjusted the action but can if I really want to tweek it. The pre-amp is fine but it would have been nice for a novice to get a bit more literature on want the different setting do. Need to do the trial and error route.
Manufacturer Support:
Not sure. No issues.
Value:
This guitar is a great value. Rosewood back and sides for the $600 more I could have paid would have made my afraid to take it out of the house. I have a old Takamine classical I have had for twenty years and it sounds better than ever.
The Wow Factor:
Like women (or men) it depends on what you want. I looked at least a hundred guitars and was going to buy the high end version of this guitar, but I happened into another store and played this one and bought it on the spot. Good sound, good price.
Overall:
I actually would replace this. I someone gave me the upgrade to fancy wood, sure I would take it, but it isn't necessary. Only one complaint, I want an on/off switch/button for the pre-amp perhaps with a light so I know when I am burning battery, not just when it is going dry.
