"Awesome"

Feature:
This device has exactly what you need, and nothing that you don't. It is bus powered which is awesome (no need for an external power supply). Two lines in with Mackie designed preamps, phantom power, hi-z selectable input, monitor and headphones out (with different volume controls). On top of that, this thing feels like it's built like a tank. It's a bit thicker than I expected, but nothing that's a big deal. The only downfall I can see is the lack of MIDI, but since I don't really use it that often it's not a problem.

Quality:
Like I said, this thing feels like it's built pretty well. We'll see how well it holds up.

Value:
You get Tracktion 2 bundeled (which retails for the same price just with a few more plugins) and an awesome interface for less money than some of the other interfaces out there.

Desirability:
This thing looks awesome. Really nice.

Sound:
The sound of the Link.USB is just what it should be, nice and clear. Ignore the other reviews about it snapping and popping. That's due to incorrect set up. I tried to change one of the sampling rates, and ended up with that noise. The solution? Using the ASIO drivers rather than the default windows one. The device is still useable with the windows drivers, you just can't get the higher quality.

Ease of Use:
This device is pretty much plug and play. I plugged it in and Windows automatically detected it. However, you can't get 24 bit signal without the use of the ASIO drivers which come bundled with Tracktion 2. Installation wasn't a problem. And Tracktion was pretty easy to use. I'm used to Sonar 4, so it took a bit longer to get adjusted, but it was pretty straightforward. I wish that the ASIO drivers could be installed seperately (without Tracktion), but it's no big deal. You can still use it in ASIO on other programs (once the drivers are installed).

Support:
Never had to deal with them.

Overall:
This device will stay with me for a while. I can't wait to do some major recording with it. Two thumbs up.
