Feature:
the key change and slow down mode I found it to help me when our vocalist needs to change the key, that way Ican practice without retuning

Quality:
the cd door pissed me off. the hinge pin broke within 1 month bur I can still use it.

Sound:
I found the sound to be exellent. I use boss sound eliminating headphones. In the change key mode it has a slight whow and flutter type sound to it but it doesn't bother me.

Ease of Use:
It took some getting use to but the results outway the studying of the manual

"Great Value and Awesome Learning Tool"

Feature:
My only gripes are not that big. First, you have to buy the power supply separately. Secondly, I also wish it had the standard size output jack to go into my amp instead of the smaller one. Other than that, this thing is packed full of features such as effects, looping, speed adjustments and even a tuner.

Quality:
I don't really like the CD door. It's really too floppy for my preferences and I'm worried about the door's durability. Other than that, it's a fairly compact unit (which is good) and seems to be fairly well put together.

Value:
For the money, this thing does pack a punch! I believe it's well worth the money, especially for a refurb. Mine looked brand new!

Desirability:
It's compact, it's black and looks OK. I don't know about "sex appeal" and I didn't buy it for looks.

Sound:
The sound is pretty good, but there is sometimes a little background noise coming through. Not sure what causes that because I don't get the noise without the bass trainer. As far as the total sound is concerned, it's great. When I slow down the music to get it right, the key doesn't change and the sound is very close. Helps a ton.

Ease of Use:
Not bad. With just a couple of glances at the instructions I could get it to work for me. With a little more in-depth study of the instructions I can do almost anything it is supposed to do.

Support:
Haven't used support yet, so no rating!

Overall:
I don't think I'll need to replace this with anything else. As a matter of fact, I think it will help me all the way to becoming an advanced bass player.

"Have a good amp and you will enjoy this CD unit."

Feature:
The I/O and loop back are nice. You can play a section of a song and it will automatically play back without having to stop and use the controls on the unit. This is a good feature. The Bass Enhancement feature and Tempo features are great for learning a song. You can totally cut out the bass and slow the tempo. This is really why I bought it. Also as a bonus is the tuner and metronome.

Quality:
It seems to be fairly sturdy. Its on par with a good portable CD Player

Value:
If you consider the versatility its a good buy. It really combines a portable CD player with alot more features, a tuner, and metronome into one. If you went out and purchased all of these separately you will probably spend close to the same amount.

Sound:
Well since you have to run it out a separate system it really depends on the external source you are playing it through. I play it through bass amplifier (line out jack) and a good set of amplified computer speakers (headphone jack)at the same time. It sounds good to use for practice or just listen to music.

Support:
Haven't had the pleasure yet.

Overall:
Here's what someone would need to know if you are planning to buy this. The weakeness of this unit is the bass input. If you are planning to connect your bass into this and play the music out of the same speaker unit you will not be satisified. The bass is hard to hear through the music because the line out for the music and the bass are not independent from each other. So if you want to hear the bass over the music you have to go into the internal mix settings to be able to do this which still does not totally solve the problem The best way to use this unit is if you have an amp that you can input the music from the Tascam unit and input your bass guitar separately. To clarify this I don't connect my bass into the Tascam unit. I put my bass directly into my amp and then run the Tascam unit into the line in on the amp. I can control both signals independently from each other. So if I want to crank up the bass I can do this independently from the CD unit. This is the best way to use this unit. I would have been dissapointed with it if I did not have a decent enough amp to do what I explained above.
