"An "ok" unit, but one can do a lot better - just be prepared to spend the extra difference for an upgrade in a good mixer/record"

Sound:

Has it's issues - freezes up and track being worked on is lost as one has to actually disconnect power to the unit to clear the "jam". Also, sounds great when mastering a mix thru earphones, but is way less in sound quality when listening thru actual speakers after exporting the finished song to PC - even worse when it's uploaded online and played back thru the websites player. For a musician like myself, trying to upload actual marketable material, I could likely do a lot better with a more advanced unit with a lot further refining abilities in mixing/mastering. Finally, there is a grounding problem somewhere - I get a persistent high pitch buzz in the background of recorded tracks, and had to use wire and ground my guitar's tremolo/bridge to my own body, to more or less eliminate the buzz. I will first rule out the guitar, then we'll see what the unit does after the guitar has been upgraded to better pickups, shielding, etc.

"Major glitches mar DP02"

Sound:

Have had the "not stopped" thing happen to me, too....also, annoying noises have shown up during playback for no apparent reason...easy to use....acoustic guitars sound great while you are playing them as you record, but upn playback, they sound muddled...why!!????
