"Tascam DR100 - did not live upto my expectation."
Sound:
Built in mics - poor.
External mics - Dyanamic mic; not enough drive.
- Condenser is fine "not brillianT"
Noise level - above avearge.
Feature:
Just average features - lacks full 24/96.
Ease of Use:
Recording level control - very hard to turn.
Quality:
Built like a tank.
Manufacturer Support:
Tascam has good support.
Value:
It would be good value if the address mic pre amp issue and recording level knob. In addition to that offer full 24/96 -- would have been 9.
The Wow Factor:
Not as sexy as Zoom H4n.
Overall:
Good effort.
