"This is probably my last quality guitar to own and to use."
Feature:It came with a beautiful hardshell case looking like a crocodile skin.
Quality:
The guitar is so beautiful to look at with a perfect finish and purfling on the "F" holes is also perfect. One other thing, the guitar stays in tune better than any other guitars that I have owned. This has to be the way that it is made as it is really put together correctly and will probably last as long as I will ever live and much longer
Value:
I think this Taylor T5 is about the best bargain for any guitar made today by anyone.
Sound:
The best way to describe this guitar is: Everyone who has heard me (I play in a country band (fingerstyle (Chet) )has told me it is the best sound that they have ever heard me play. I have to agree with them. I play in 2 bands each week--at one, I use a Polytone 100W amp with external delay (echo). At the other, I use a Roland 25W with built-in effects. The little E was not as loud as the other strings, but Taylor, (under warranty) replaced a different pick-up that corrected the problem. I love the light weight, easy to tune perfect, and of course the sound which can be adjusted to fit any style. I have a Gibson ES-175D (can't say anything about this one), Fender Strat plus 3 other really nice guitars, but for now, I'm using my Taylor T5 for both gigs, and I may not ever change. Time will tell. Bob Hardison, Columbia, Tn.
Ease of Use:
It is very easy to get the sound that anyone could want by the 4 position slide switch plus the bass and treble controls. The manual is very clear to understand
Overall:
I don't extend to search for a different guitar
