"Light weight, great sounding, single channel amp"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Sound:
I have only two minor issues. First, the amp has a reasonably loud turn on/off transient. Second, for straight clean rhythm you can not just leave the master volume on 10, the preamp hiss is too loud for living room play used this way. Rolling back the master to 2:00 takes care of this minor issue.
Feature:
Single channel, three amp emulation modes (Fender Tweed, Marshal, early Mesa Boogie), three gain settings (clean, high, higher), and three speaker equalizations (none, Celestion, ancient EV used in old Mesa Boogie). Nice sounding spring reverb. Effects loop and low impedance output to go to the house/PA for larger venues.
Ease of Use:
As easy to use as it gets. No programming, just three slide switches and knobs.
Quality:
Very well made.
Manufacturer Support:
No need to find out.
Value:
Compared to a tube amp, a bargain. Not the cheapest solid state amp you can buy.
The Wow Factor:
Appealing to me!
Overall:
At 14 lbs, all plywood cabinet, solidly built, loud enough for a drummer, does exactly what I wanted it to (emulates a Fender Tweed Deluxe with a power soak and a Fender black face spring reverb). I set the main volume for my lead distortion level, set the master for my lead volume, and roll back the guitar volume to clean it up for rhythm. I have not got enough experience with Mesa or Marshal to judge the other modes.
