"VHT Special 6 Ultra"

Sound:

Good but not great. Keep looking and don't buy into the hype. I ended up with a Fender Super Champ XD and it's much better and more versatile than the VHT. Same price too, I think. Or at least close.

Feature:

The attenuator feature, to me, was practically useless. Anything less than 3:00 on the dial and it turned to mush.

Ease of Use:

Simple, easy to use.

Quality:

There was an intermittent problem with mine when I received it, that's why I ended up returning it. But when the amp was working I was less than thrilled with it so I returned it for a refund and bought something else.

Manufacturer Support:

I never had a need to contact them.

Value:

It's cheap, so valuewise it's probably decent - if it works like it's supposed to.

The Wow Factor:

No "wow factor" at all for me.

Overall:

Save your money. There's better amps out there. The rave reviews this amp gets everywhere are puzzling to me. I mean, it's OK but not the super amp everyone claims it to be. Yeah, handwired but big deal. They still use cheap components. It makes no difference on the tone.
