    "It's a Growler"

    Feature:
The best features of this is the individual Treble and Bass tones. It also has an adjustable nut and easy stringing from the bridge.

    Quality:
Before I bought the bass I have now, I considered buying a used 5 string for very cheap, untill I noticed a long deep crack down the glue line from the neck bolt all the way around to the bridge on the otherside of the bass. Make sure you check this, new or used. My bass now is great and the glue line is not right between the neckbolt like the other one I tried, it's further up the instrument, this could make a difference if you happen to drop it or if it's exposed too much humidity.

    Desirability:
The unique shape of this instrument and its tailored finish makes this bass a work of art. The black/brown and yellowish grain to the ovangkol I think makes it very eye catching.

    Sound:
This bass has a sweet growl anywhere below the 7th fret. You can teese different tones out of each note depending on how hard you dig in with your left hand (right handed players). The deep finger board takes some getting used to though and does seem a fraction wide for a jazz setup, but you can live with it after you hear it.

    Overall:
This is definately the best bass I've tried in terms of sound and playability. The neck is rock solid, the sound is unique and the look is original.
