"Excellent Keyboard. Another masterpiece from Yamaha."

    Feature:
When i got this and started to play it, I knew right away it was the best! The keys are piano style touch sensitive keys that are semi-weighted and have a great piano action to them. It feels awsome when playing the keyboard. It has a pich bend wheel(super nice) and has a feature where you can layer 2 sounds together. I love that feature. You can record 6 songs on it. There are so many other GREAT features! Also comes with sustain pedal, AC adaptor, Data disk, headphones, and MIDI CD if you buy the Survival kit.

    Quality:
The quality of this product is superb! Yamaha is know for their fine instruments and quality. The quality of this keyboard is awsome. It is slim and lightweight, so it is definatly portable. Excellent quality!

    Value:
This keyboard is superb and excellent and it could go for twice of what it is selling for. This is definitly worth your money.

    Desirability:
The look of this keyboard will blow you away. It has a natural wood stand and at the ends of the keyboard are wood frames so it looks really nice like a piano. It has a great color too it and great shiny keys. When i saw this i fell in love with it! You will too.

    "Buy this"

    Feature:
I know a ten? Well, first you need to realize that yah a $3,000 board is going to have more features but this baby has plenty and for the price it is a steal. It has learning features for beginners and plenty of recording capability for the composer. 6 tracks is good enough for me but if not remember this baby is MIDI.

    Quality:
For the price 10. I was putting the wood stand together and thought, shoot this is better than my entertainment center. It looks like at least a $2,000 peace of furniture and hi-tec electronics and it sounds the part.

    Value:
    By farrrr

    Desirability:
I bought it the second I saw it. Sex appeal? I don't know about that but I looked at the board and I started to play it and then I got up to walk away knowing that I'm on a tight budget,I just knew that I couldn't afford it when I say the price I did not hesitate.

    Sound:
The sound is rich, bright, mellow, basicaly anyway you want it you got it. I didn't give it a 10 only because some of the sounds are a little weak for my taste but thats only maybe 5 or 10 out of 600. I love this keyboard's piano Voices. As a classical pianist, the Grand on this board is the next best thing to the real thing.

    Overall:
I love it. I don't think that giving you a long desciption of this product is going to make any difference to you . You can read about the features from the dealer but what I can tell you is that I play piano 3-4 hours a day 6 days a week and I know music. This product is great in every way and it is the most keyboard that you will get per dollar.

    "An excellent value."

    Feature:
The product came with the sustain pedal. But it was a bit strange to have to buy a separate "Survivor Kit" to get the AC Adaptor (as well as headphones) that most of us would want. The most useful feature to me is the "SAVE" function. Don't go looking up "Save" in the Index in the Owners Manual; it's not there, at least in MY Owner's Manual. You'll have to dig for it...around page 78. It's what lets you save a song onto floppy disk. Note that you have to be sure to FIRST RECORD the song onto one of the 5 User Song spots (201 through 205) onto the HARD DISK. THEN you SAVE it onto the floppy. Pretty cool. Hit SAVE twice to tell it to save in MIDI SMF (Standard Midi Format) if that's what you want; that's probably what you want. Then, take the floppy over to your computer and double-click the file... It opens in Windows Media Player! How cool is THAT!?! A particular issue not to my perfectionistic liking were that we are not able to customize the voices -- meaning, I can not pick from all of the voices for the left and and from all of the voices for the right; instead, we must select from Yamaha's PREFAB list of 10 possible voice combo (left-right hand) options. This was highly misleading in the advertising, which simply advertised the ability to select voices in the left and right hand (conveniently leaving out a simple statement "select voices from 10 possible selections in the left and right hand"). I wrote to Yamaha, and they did provide a workaround procedure, but it's quite lengthy and even that procedure requires selecting from only 10 choices for ONE of the hand. Be sure to write to yamaha YCASupport@yamaha.com and ask for the CUSTOMIZED SPLIT VOICE workaround procedure. Maybe if enough people ask for it, they'll build in the capability!

    Quality:
Sturdy. Nifty Stand. Don't try finding the "Stand" directions in the Owner's Manual under "Stand." It's under "K" for "Keyboard Stand." That pretty much epitomises the Owners Manual.

    Value:
Yes, it's a quality product, well worth the price. You just have to be happy with a few surprises about feature limitations that you may not have realized would happen.

    Desirability:
Except for the low volume and not-fully-customizable Split Voices, I'm thrilled!

    Sound:
I immediately noticed the low volume.

    Support:
I've written to Yamaha, and the relay back and forth has been a bit tedious, with almost every e-mail being answered with "You'll need to file a customer record with us..."

    Overall:
I expect to have this for many years.

    "Awesome keyboard. Awesome sounds!"

    Feature:
Jam packed with features. The split keyboard & layering capablilty are great. Being able to customized the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) adds to the versatility of the instrument

    Quality:
Everything seems solid. The on-board speakers are adequate, but the low end frequency response is a little week. I just bought a pair of Samson Resolv 65a powered monitors (speakers) and WOW... does the keyboard sound fantastic. It's worth the invetment!!

    Desirability:
    Visually atractive

    Sound:
The sampled sounds are amazing. Some of the sax & flute sounds are as if the real instrument is being played.

    Support:
Used the support once, and found it to be very good. The support was for advice on external amplification.

    Overall:
I'll be playing this keyboard for years.

    Value:
I would exspect the price would be much more for the quality of the product.

    Sound:
All voices sound just like the instrument of your choice. As a novice, this out does the last four keyboards that I have owned.
