    "This is a GREAT piano!!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
First I must say I am a piano player and was looking for a replacement for my CP70. I bought and returned the Kurzweil PC-1 and sp88x. I was very disapointed with both. On a fluke I tried the P-250 and was very impressed. No matter what you hear this has a "real" piano action. The grand piano sounds are the best I've heard. It really is the best simulation of a real piano. The electric pianos are also excellent. This is by far the most expressive keyboard I've ever played. It beggs you to play more. The sound have a very creative sound to them and the fact that there are speakers give you a positive feedback (vibrations) through the keys. This is an excellent "piano". The only problem with it is once you start to play it you wont want to do anything else....
    Feature:
Features are good. The best one I think is the sequencer. It's like having a sketch book. Perfect for laying down quick song ideas.
    Quality:
EXCELLENT. Great for studio (fixed) or on the road. I have numerous Yamaha products. A couple of them are over 20 years old. Still ticking.....
    Manufacturer Support:
    Have not needed any.
    Value:
Again if you are looking for a piano this is the best bang for the buck in digital piano's. To paraphrase someone else's review. I think this the closest thing to a real grand without having to shell out 30k.
    The Wow Factor:
For me it does not matter what they look like. I play them with no sound to see if the action is close to my CP70. If it is i turn it on and listen.
    Overall:
The P-250 is a keeper! This will become by base keyboard. It has everything I need for practice, gigging and recreation.

"Perfect Keyboard for a Professional Keyboardist"

    Sound:
This keyboard has the best response and sound of any in its class. In a live setting, its dependable, is expressive as a "real" grand, and can reproduce characteristics of a grand piano like no other keyboard can. For recording, it works just as well allowing the keyboard player to adjust settings such as soundboard micing or "nuances" with in between notes. I am a professional musician in the Southern Gospel Music field and i depend on it for my job.
    Feature:
I rate this at 9. However, i'm not into sequencing as much with onboard keyboard features....i rely on software based sequencing such as Pro Tools. This keyboard can let you sequence and has many great sounds as well as the KILLER stereo grand piano sound. You can also hook it up to your computer via usb to control midi devices.
    Quality:
I've depended on this keyboard for almost 2 years about 4 nights a week in concerts. Only until this week do i have to repair one sticking key. This keyboard does take a beating. 'Very rugged and reliable.
    Manufacturer Support:
I cannot say that the support is either great or bad. However, I can say that i've never needed it due to such a well made instrument.
    Value:
Keyboards 2 or 3 times the cost cannot compare to the value of this keyboard. It works in the studio and on stage like a dream.
    The Wow Factor:
This keyboard looks as professional as it sounds. Just with the addition of the two internal speakers make this keyboard worth the money. The speakers, to me, make me feel like i'm playing a real piano due to hearing the sound from the actual board, at the same time sending audio to the house through the 1/4 inch outputs.
    Overall:
I look to use this keyboard for years to come...at least until another "p" series comes out. This is one professional instrument for a professional job!

    "Awesome!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
This is the most awesome sounding digital piano I have heard. As far as the piano sounds go, nothing can compare to it. I had reservations about buying it because of the review which said it sounded bad an octave above middle C. I tried it out at the music store and saw no problem with it. With the voice editing features and the equalizer at your finger tips there is absolutely no reason not to get any sound out of this piano that you like. Every time I play it I am in awe of the sound.
    Feature:
I would like to have a metronome to practice with but so far the only way I have found to use it is while recording. The XG voices can be accessed by instrument group which makes it easier to find what you are looking for. The 5 band equalizer is great. I love the feel and response of the keys. I can really express myself while playing it. Another feature I would like to have is a "to device" port for a jump drive to save files to instead of having to connect to a computer.
    Quality:
I haven't found any problems with the quality of construction.
    Manufacturer Support:
    I haven't used support.
    Value:
I owed 3 keyboard and a full sized digital piano before I bought the P250 and I wish I had bought it first. It out shines them all. Compared to what I paid for the others the P250 is worth the money.
    Overall:
I will keep this piano for a long time. When they come out with a new model if it has features I want which the P250 if lacking I might replace it.

"the most in-expensive 9 ft grand ever"

    Sound:
The closest "Grand" sound digital has to offer.
    Feature:
As a keyboard player myself you always look for the best of four things: Piano, organ, strings or sine pad, and brass. Well this piano has all of these things along with the legendary feel of a yamaha 9ft grand.
    Quality:
I travel every week with a recording artist and apart from the normal bumps and bruises the p-250 is a tank.
    Manufacturer Support:
they will take care of you with whatever problem you might have.

    Sound:
first to finish with the above answer,i'll have my own in a week.I can tell you there is no better sounding electric grand piano anywhere for thousands more then youll pay for the P250.I have played them all and the P250 is the one thats coming home with me.
    Feature:
I think you should get a stand and a seat,a cover and a case, and the sustain pedal included.
    Quality:
Just look at the compitition,I compared the P250 with all the manufactures and it won my yote hands down.
    Manufacturer Support:
Had no contact with support but i have delt with yamaha service in the past and they stand behind there products.
    Value:
Don't tell yamaha they could get more for this keybord,at least tell i buy mine.

    "The p250-What's not to like/"

    Sound:
I've waited for e-pianos to sound like the real thing, and when I played this in the showroom I was at last ready to buy a piano that I have to plug in to play.
    Quality:
I choose this model hoping it would be reliable and practically indestructible. So far(having owned it for about a year) nothing had gone wrong, nothing has started to rattle, and nothing has fallen off.
    Manufacturer Support:
    haven't had to use it
    Value:
Paid 1850 for it. Seems like a reasonable price for what it does.
    The Wow Factor:
Sex appeal schmex appeal-it's got to SOUND and PLAY like a piano, not look like a piece of furniture.
    Overall:
    no complaints

Yamaha P250 Digital Piano Customer Review

    Sound:
Being a pianist in several popbands , this really is the first time a enjoyed playing a digital one. In a life situation a digital one is, when you play together with a rockguitarist, almost always to thin and harmless. This is the reason why i still use a cp70b with real strings and analogue pick-ups. However i did use all the major brands in digitally piano's because they weigh so much less. I really wasn't a fan of the p 200 because of its unnaturall keyboardaction and thin sound. Roland was therefor first choise. [rd600 and 700]. Compared to those last named the p250 is way ahead in sound. [sorry roland] The very simple reason is the amazing sustain pedal which approaches the effect of the real one. I really don't care about the rest of the sound and anyone who says the organ and rhodes are in the same leage never played the real thing[s]. So my final verdict is that the piano sound and keyboard[pedal]action is worth buying it. I am just a small musician from the Netherlands and this is my hounest verdict.
