Feature:
the 1/4 adapter is threaded so it screws on. May not sound like much but this is the coolest feature as you don;t have to worry about it pulling apart
Sound:
sounds good though not much to compare to
Ease of Use:
it squeezes on my big head a little hard but that better than being too loose and falling off. I am a drummer and don;t have to worry about these going anywhere

"Performs as expected; solidly built; very good sound."
Feature:1/4 adaptor supplied with 1/8 jack. gold plated, and solid. I wish it had a longer cord. it's coiled, and sometimes tug at the phones a bit, but might loosen up with time. i'm goingot get a headphone extention cable. has a 1 yr warranty.
Quality:
Solidly built. looks very proffesional. haven't had it long, so can't say much about reliablity, but I got it based on past experience with Yamaha, so I hope it stays solid. The cord and jacks are very solid. the 1/4 adaptor screws on to the 1/8 one. gold plating is well done.
Value:
I've heard other headphones in the past in this price range. they were not as good as this one. In this price range, I think this is one of the best, but I haven't heard ALL the others in the range. I think price/value is good.
Desirability:
it looks good. I like anything in black, and it looks plain, all black, but has a professional appearence. not tacky, just like other Yamaha products.
Sound:
The sound is very bassy, but not in a bad way. thru my Onkyo stereo, the music comes thru clear and powerful. Voice reproductions could be better, imo. The biggest surprise was listening to the pc. even with a very basic soundcard & basic real player, the volume level and clarity of songs were great. the headphones can filter outside noises well.
Support:
not needed yet.
Overall:
I'll keep this for now, until I have LOT of money so I can get a top of the line Grado or something. For now I'm totally happy with it. it performs as expected. I got it based on past experience with Yamaha. I'd replace it if it were stolen.
