Zoom 505 II Effects Customer Review

    Feature:
You will need an extra cabal because it only comes with the pedal. It does have a tuner, that works very well. The only thing i wish it had was a drum machine, but all in all, its a great pedal. It doesn't have as many features as i thought, but it is still good.

    Quality:
The pedal is made ok, but the nobs and pedals become a little loose, but nothing to worry about.

    Value:
Overall, this is a great pedal for the price. There weren't as many different affects as i thought there would be.

    Sound:
The sound quality is very good. The best part is that you can plug your head phones directly into the pedal. There are also great affects of amps, it has great sound quality.

    Support:
The company that i got it from was easy to reach, but it rang for a while and the people didn't know anything about it.

"You get more than what you pay for!"

    Feature:
IT has what I'm looking for. In fact, if it had any more, it would be too confusing (For ME)!

    Quality:
you get more than what you pay for! I had another multi effects guitar pedal that was basicly the same thing just 20 dollars more and too confusing. I returned it and got this one. I am very happy that I made that move.

    Value:
As I said before, you get more than what you pay for.

    Desirability:
For now, this is exactly what I want. Later on, I might want something with more features, but for now, this is great.

    Sound:
there is nothing really wrong with it. It's most likely my amp. It's not exactly the best , or the biggest.

    Support:
I haven't had nay problems with it, thank god!

    Overall:
I expect I will be happy with this product for quite a while.

"Separate effects pedals vs Zoom 505"

    Quality:
Made from plastic, otherwise well made.

    Value:
Excelent value for money. I would recomend this product to any semi-proffesional musician who is looking for a multi effects unit for a budget.

    Sound:
For the price range I cannot find a product which could match the 505, for quality of sound. The unit has an awesome capability to create almost any kind of sound; you can mix and match anything. I feel however that because the effects are digital, the sound is too "sterile" and loses 'crispness' and clarity when playing some effects. Works great in the studio.

    Overall:
I would keep this product until I can afford to buy separate pedals. It's a great tool to experiment with, to find what effects you use most. (E.G. chorus) If you have a larger budget and know what sound you want, I think separate pedals would give a far better sound.

Zoom 505 II Effects Customer Review

    Overall:
I bought this pedal years ago. A friend of mine owned the old 505. I bought this one because of price, and it is still my favoorite pedal. It is un replaceable as far as versatility in such a small box. The quality of the sounds is very decent, i play it during gigs. If you are a beginning guitarist, or someone looking for some new sounds, this pedal is for you.

"A waste of time and money."

    Feature:
    No features whatsoever.

    Quality:
It held up for a while, but after about 7 or 8 months, the audio input failed. I have NO USE for it now.

    Value:
No, they should be selling these pieces of garbage alongside the generic guitars found at Wal-Mart.

    Desirability:
    No.

    Sound:
I would say that this multi-effects pedal is a waste of time for serious guitar players. My musical influences range from bands like U2 and Led Zeppelin to artists like Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, and Nat Cole. This effects pedal does not sound very well at all. The user interface is over-complicated on account of Zoom trying to cram too many effects into one pedal, so you will be left often scratching your head on how to make this pedal effective. You can not utilize a majority of the effects provided on this pedal because they are in somewhat of a sequntial order and it is almost impossible to cycle through 6 other effect model just to get to that one sound to play a part of a song to, then have to cycle all the way back to the original selected effect. All around, too much hassle and too much headache for such a useless multi-effects pedal.

    Overall:
It occupied me for some time, but after a few days, I was thoroughly let down and bored.
