"Decent value, some reliability problems, awful customer service."
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Sound:
The gibson and martin models sound the best with my guitar and my amp; I don't use the other models at all. I don't often use the modulation effects.
Feature:
I bought this primarily to use as an EQ pedal, but having the tuner is nice.
Ease of Use:
Takes a lot of playing with the dials to get the sounds you want. And you have to keep the manual handy in order to decipher the LED screen (all the settings are listed as two-character LED patterns, which aren't easily readable).
Quality:
Unit has mostly been reliable, but on my unit, the 'pattern' knob is flaky--the unit doesn't register settings changes if you spin the knob too quickly.
Manufacturer Support:
Long hold times to speak with customer service. I sent the unit back for the aforementioned knob issue, and they sent it back to me claiming that they could not reproduce the problem. I called customer service again and specified how to reproduce the problem, and they said to send the unit in again for replacement. I did send it in again, and they sent the same unit back, again saying they couldn't reproduce the problem.
Value:
The score would be higher if I felt the unit worked more reliably. It seems reasonably priced to me considering I was only looking for an EQ pedal.
The Wow Factor:
Not much aesthetic or technical appeal to me--I'm not really interested in guitar modeling or all the effects.
Overall:
The EQ functions seem to work for now. If it were lost or stolen I would buy a different manufacturer's product.
