"Best bang for the Buck !!"
Feature:If this recorder is used often, you need to use an A/C adapter. Be sure you get the right one though, the wrong one will fry it. I really like the fully adjustable metronome feature, it's hugh help when you record solo. Some of the features this product has are quite difficut to figure out, most are simple though. It comes with a 32mb smart media card, trust me, get a 128mb card, recording times are greatly increased.
Quality:
All of the controls are well made work like the best ones do. I've even accidently pulled mine off of the table to the floor while recording, that didn't change a thing. Made very well.
Value:
It is worth the price you pay for the quality digital recording you get.
Desirability:
Now that I have extensive experience with it, it is a wonderful addition to my gear and has been a very useful tool to me.
Sound:
Hey...this is digital, CD quality. I own two of these things, If your EQ, pans, and input levels are right, you can make professional sounding recordings easily! This product is mostly for small projects, there are not enough tracks for large compositions. For electric guitars, you need to play through an effects processor in between your guitar and the recorder, or it won't sound powerful enough.
Ease of Use:
It took me a few tries to get the sound quality I wanted, but after that, I was creating sound track CD's. I don't have a drum mechine so I used a Casio keyboard with built in drum effects to do my drum tracks, hey..it works. I put my bass, rhythm, drums and lead tracks, and there you have it!
Support:
The one thing I dislike most about it, is the owner's manual. It's instructions are not very clear on how use certain features. I tried several times to contact the customer support on a few matters, and never recieved a response, so I gave up on it.
Overall:
I've had these recorders about two years and have done lots of projects with them. I am now ready to move on to bigger and better products, such as an 8 or 10 track recorder, but this product is, with no dought, the perfect thing to start out with, or to use as a project idea recording tool.
