There are two major differences between a great vintage Strat(R) pickup and an average one: treble response and dynamics. A great pickup is clear and bright, but not thin-sounding. A great one makes the sound jump out of the amp when you pick hard and drop way down when you play softly, and the tone varies when the string is picked at different spots. The best pickup DiMarzio has ever heard like this was from 1958, and that's what inspired the Area '58(TM), with two major differences. DiMarzio's pickup has way less magnet pull, and virtually no hum. >More
The Super Natural Plus is just what its name implies: it goes beyond ordinary-sounding pickups with incredibly crisp treble and tight bass response, and patented 60-cycle hum reduction. This combination allows acoustic players to deal with real-world situations where feedback and weak sound can be major problems. >More
DiMarzio Model J pickups reproduce the warmth and roundness of the traditional Fender Jazz Bass sound with increased power and hum-cancellation. The additional power translates into a bigger sound that emphasizes the resonant character of the instrument. >More
Recognizing the need for a short "jumper" version of DiMarzio's famous guitar cables, DiMarzio now offers professional-grade cables in 6 and 12-inch lengths. DiMarzio uses the same U.S.-made nylon overbraid cable as in DiMarzio's standard guitar cables, delivering maximum signal transmission and minimum high-frequency loss. Right-angle Switchcraft ends are encapsulated in a super-tough thermoplastic resin that permanently bonds the plug to the cable, making the jumpers so rugged and durable that they carry a lifetime warranty. >More
