D'Addario Chromes Flatwound Bass strings are famed for their smooth feel and warm, mellow tone. D'Addario EBC81M Chromes are flatwound regular light gauge, medium scale bass strings (Gauges: .045, .065, .080, .100 to be exact). The strings are wound using an outer flattened, "ribbon" wire which is then polished to a smooth finish. Chromes deliver a deep, rich low end tone that's ideal for jazz and R&B, but also has applications in contemporary pop music.Flatwound bass strings define the warm, tight bottom of R&B and Jazz.
