The MXR M-101 provides classic 4 stage phasing sound with continuous variable speed control. Phase 90 fixed regeneration level adds intensity and is particularly effective for keyboards. This device has found its way into many of Eddie Van Halen's recordings, adding a shimmery velocity to lead passages or a more dramatic swoosh to muted strumming. The M-101 phaser is not just designed for guitars; it works well with basses, keyboards, and even vocals and appears in all of these guises on Dweezil Zappa's Z album, 'Music For Pets,' which reveals its flexible and hip nature.
